  • “Submergence” and “Handia” selected for San Sebastian Film Festival

    San Sebastian Film Festival

    The film “Submergence” directed by Wim Winders and “Handia” directed by Jon Garaño have been selected to compete at the 65th edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival this year. “Submergence” starring James McAvoy and Alicia Vikander, and featuring both ADAM QUINTERO and ALEX HAFNER, will open the festival and compete for the Golden Shell prize. “Handia”, starring AIA KRUSE, will also compete for the same prize.   • Manuela Vellés shoots “Alegría, Tristeza, Miedo, Rabia”

    Today, MANUELA VELLÉS starts filming “Alegría, Tristeza, Miedo, Rabia” directed by Ibon Cormenzana. Manuela stars as a young psychologist who starts treating a firefighter (Roberto Álamo) for his inability to express his emotions and empathise with others. Also in the cast are Maggie Civantos, Carlos Bardem, Andrés Gertrúdix, Pedro Casablanc, Miguel Herrán and Claudia Pacer. The film is produced by Arcadia Motion Pictures.

  • The Platino Awards 2017

    Premios PlatinoThe Platino Awards (Los Premios Platino del Cine Iberoamericano) took place at the Caja Madrid last Saturday, 22nd July.

    The film “El Acompañante” starring YOTUEL ROMERO was candidate for the Best Iberoamericana Fiction Award (Mejor Película Iberoamericana de Ficción) and the Spanish TV series “El Ministerio Del Tiempo” starring AURA GARRIDO was nominated in the category “Best Iberoamericana Television Series” (Mejor Miniserie o Teleserie Cinematográfica Iberoamericana).

    We are excited to announce the incorporation of ALEX HAFNER to A  LeightHouse.

    Alex has worked internationally on projects such as “Submergence” directed by Wim Wenders, as well as “Megan Leavey” directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and “The Counselor” directed by Ridley Scott.

    In Spain, he has worked on the popular Telecinco TV series “La Que Se Avecina” and films such as “Invasor” directed by Daniel Calparsoro and “Proyecto Lazaro” directed by Mateo Gil.

    Alex is a multi-linguist – he speaks English, Spanish, German and French fluently.  Welcome to A LeightHouse!



    Today RTVE premieres the teaser of the film “Cold Skin” starring AURA GARRIDO.  The film, directed by Xavier Gens, is based on the popular book of the same name by Sánchez Piñol and will premiere in cinemas on the 20th October.

    Alcantara in the TVE ‘Cuéntame‘ series that launched her to fame, as well as
    her participation in films such as Leticia Dolera’s ‘Requisitos Para Ser Una
    Persona Normal’, or ‘El Espinazo Del Diablo’ by Guillermo Del Toro.

    • Today is the premiere of `Señor Dame Paciencia´, pitched to be Spain´s comedy of the year. The film is directed by Alvaro Díaz Lorenzo and stars  SILVIA ALONSO alongside Megan Montaner, Salva Reina and Jordi Sánchez.
